Facts & Figures
The incidence of medical malpractice related to the diagnosis of cervical cancer is alarming. Early diagnosis through Pap smear screening followed by proper treatment, could virtually eliminate the chances of a woman developing invasive cervical cancer. Yet, an estimated 5,000 women will die in the U.S. from cervical cancer this year. Too many women have their cervical cancer diagnosis delayed when the general practitioners and even gynecologists in whose hands such women entrust their well-being fail to perform appropriate screening tests, fail to properly interpret test results, and fail to take necessary steps when cervical cancer is suspected. When this happens, the physician has been negligent. And the tragic result of this negligence is too often the loss of treatment options and/or the loss of chance of survival. This website is devoted to explaining how medical malpractice arises in the context of a failure by a physician to timely diagnose or treat cervical cancer; to describing what is involved in pursuing a medical malpractice claim; and to offering a convenient and free attorney consultation to those who believe they have been the victim of medical malpractice. Our law firm and the network of other law firms that work with us help victims of medical malpractice nationally.
